Previously, we examined Luke's account of the conversion of three thousand souls on the Day of Pentecost (See Praising God. September 6, 2020). We looked particularly at Luke's words in Acts 2:†, "And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart." Finally, we noted the results of the early Christians' steadfastness. They were, "Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved" ("Acts 2:47).
