(Previous - Acts Sixteen, an Amazing Chapter) IntroductionDo you want a closer relationship, a closer walk, with Jesus? There is a difference between believing in Jesus and being a Christian. There is a difference between calling yourself a Christian and having a close relationship with Jesus. It is important to have a close relationship with Jesus rather than a distant one. In this article, let us learn how to have a closer walk with Jesus I. Seek Ye First the Kingdom. Please read Matthew 6:24-342. Jesus concludes this discourse with the command, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” (Matt 6:33). In one of the Beatitudes, Jesus said, “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled” (Matt 5:6). Jesus sets forth the value of the kingdom, the church, in Matthew 13:45-46: Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it. To have a close relationship with Christ, we must put his kingdom and his righteousness first in our lives. (Continued on page 2). 1.
